Paper round-up: Times say Payet can go for £15m if Hammers go down

Dimitri Payet will be able to leave West Ham for £15m if they are relegated this season, according to The Times.

A clause in the French playmaker’s contract reportedly means he can move for that amount if the Hammers lose their Premier League status.

Payet is one of several players said to have a relegation clause in his contract.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail say the agents of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are working together behind the scenes.

The newspaper reports that the agents “are even believed to be in cahoots” and “are said to be keeping each other in the loop because it is in both their interests to do so.”

Erkut Sogut working on behalf of Ozil and Fernando Felicevich of Sanchez know Arsenal are are under considerable pressure to ensure both players sign new deals, the Mail say.

And Tottenham want to sign former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, according to the Daily Mirror.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in the 28-year-old Mexican, who has impressed since joining Bayer Leverkusen from United last year, scoring 33 goals in 60 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

The Mirror say Spurs and Liverpool “are planning rival offers” as both clubs want to bring him back to England when the transfer window reopens in January.
