Toby Alderweireld is on the verge of joining Tottenham from Manchester United, according to the Sunday Mirror.

United have long been linked with the Belgium defender, whose future at Spurs has looked uncertain for some time.

And the Sunday Mirror say there has been a breakthrough in talks between the two clubs and that United are set to sign Alderweireld in the next 48 hours.

Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday say Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele has turned down a move to Inter Milan.

The Sun on Sunday also say West Ham are looking to beat Chelsea to the signing of Brazilian winger Bernard after he dropped his wages demands and that Fulham are looking to sign Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez on loan.

Chelsea are planning to offer Arsenal £35m for Aaron Ramsey ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to the Sunday Express.

Manchester United will offer Chelsea Anthony Martial in exchange for Willian, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Sunday Mirror also claim Chelsea are in pole position to sign Wilfried Zaha because Tottenham have pulled out of a race to sign him after Crystal Palace demanded £75m and that the Blues are stalling on allowing Tammy Abraham out on loan because Maurizio Sarri is unconvinced by strikers Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi.

And the Sunday Times reports that Chelsea boss Sarri will discuss Eden Hazard’s future on Monday and attempt to persuade him to sign a new contract rather than join Real Madrid.
