Dele Alli has opened talks over a new contract at Tottenham, the Sun on Sunday say.

There continues to be speculation over the future of the England star even though he has four years remaining on his current contract.

The Sun on Sunday say Alli, who is reportedly paid around £50,000 a week, will be paid more than £100,000 a week, putting him on a par with top earners Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.

The newspaper also say Tottenham are interested in signing Andre Gomes and that this could put a move for Ross Barkley in doubt.

Barcelona’s Gomes has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent months, while Spurs have been tipped to sign Everton’s England midfielder Barkley.

Barkley backed out of a proposed move to Chelsea in the final hours of the summer transfer window despite a deal being agreed, prompting reports that Tottenham are ready to snap him up when the window reopens in January.

Meanwhile, Ryan Bertrand has again been linked with a possible return to Chelsea from Southampton.

The Sunday Express claim Chelsea could turn their attention to Bertrand because Alex Sandro, who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, is now reportedly in line for a new contract at Juventus.
