Paper round-up: United again linked with Kane, Arsenal linked with Reus

Manchester United have again been linked with Tottenham striker Harry Kane, this time by the Daily Mirror.

It follows a recent story in The Sun, which claimed that contract talks between Spurs and Kane had been put on hold and that this has alerted United and Chelsea.

The Mirror say United are monitoring developments as they are looking to sign a big-name name striker.

Speculation over Kane’s future comes despite the fact that the England international, 23, is under contract at White Hart Lane until 2020.

The Mirror also claim Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will make Marco Reus his number one target if the Gunners lose Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal are discussing a new contract with Sanchez, whose current deal is due to expire in 2018.

Borussia Dortmund’s Germany wide-man Reus, who is apparently rated at £30m, has been out for six months with a knee injury.

Wenger is reported to be a fan of the 27-year-old, who has been linked with Premier League clubs during successive transfer windows.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star have picked up reports in Laurent Koscielny’s native France suggesting the Arsenal defender is set to sign a new four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.
