Man City want Bellerin, Times say

Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin is on Manchester City’s wishlist, according to The Times.

The Spaniard only signed a new deal with the Gunners in November and has made 87 appearances since his debut in September 2013.

But The Times believes City boss Pep Guardiola, who knows Bellerin from his time at Barcelona, has not given up hope of signing him as part of a shake-up of his squad.

Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has again been linked with a return to Newcastle.

The Croydon Advertiser claim the recent arrival of Jeffrey Schlupp and a reported bid for Norwich’s left-side player Robbie Brady could force Townsend out of Selhurst Park.

The report suggests Palace have made a £9m bid for Republic of Ireland international Brady, while talks remain ongoing with Sunderland for Patrick van Aanholt.

Reports in Spain claim Crystal Palace are among the clubs eyeing a move for Valencia midfielder Enzo Perez.

The 30-year-old Argentinian international only moved to Spain from Benfica in 2015 for around £21m.

West Brom, Roma, Schalke and an unnamed club in China are also said to be interested, according to the Croydon Advertiser.

West Ham are keen on Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel, according to TalkSport.

Leicester City are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old Frenchman.

A report in Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, though, says Roma are favourites to sign him and have offered a cash-plus-players deal.
