Sunday paper round-up: Arsenal reportedly eyeing deal Torreira deal

The Daily Star Sunday have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that Arsenal want Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.

Arsenal are said to have registered their interest with the 22-year-old Uruguayan’s agent.

It is even suggested that a deal is in place because Arsenal are apparently willing to pay a £21.9m release clause in Torreira’s contract.

However, that clause reportedly expires at the end of the month and there is said to be competition from Borussia Dortmund and Napoli, who are apparently also interested.

Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday say Jack Wilshere will discuss his future on Monday with new Arsenal boss Unai Emery.

It comes after Italian media reported that England international Wilshere has been offered a four-year contract by Juventus.

Wilshere, whose Gunners contract expires this summer, has been offered a new deal by Arsenal which reportedly involves a significant cut in wages.

The Sun on Sunday have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that Chelsea are among a number of clubs interested in Roma utility player Alessandro Florenzi.

The Sun on Sunday also say Fulham are among clubs interested in signing goalkeeper Dean Henderson from Manchester United.

And West Bromwich Albion want Brentford midfielder Romaine Sawyers, the Sunday Telegraph reports.
