QPR accept offer from Club Brugge for Osayi-Samuel

Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion look set to miss out on Bright Osayi-Samuel.

West London Sport reports that QPR have accepted an offer from Belgian side Club Brugge for the winger.

Both Leeds and Albion have been heavily linked with Osayi-Samuel but he looks set for a move elsewhere.

West London Sport previously reported that an offer for the player had been rejected but now report that the two clubs have agreed a deal worth around £4.7m.

QPR recently triggered an option to extend Osayi-Samuel’s contract by another year – his deal at Loftus Road was due to expire this summer.

West London Sport say the club hoped he would sign a longer-term deal but have not persuaded him to do so.

Meanwhile, QPR’s veteran defender Angel Rangel has been ruled out for up to nine months with an Achilles injury.

Dr Imtiaz Ahmad, QPR’s head of medical services, told the club website: “This is desperately disappointing news for Angel.

“He will have the operation on Monday, which is being conducted by a leading foot and ankle specialist.

“Rehab for this type of injury can take between six to nine months.

“Angel was naturally disappointed when the injury was confirmed but he has come to grips with it very quickly and is OK within himself.”
