Five players reportedly in line to leave QPR before window closes

Five players could make moves from QPR during the final days of the transfer window.

West London Sport reports that Niko Hamalainen could be heading to Scotland and that George Thomas, Conor Masterson and Sinclair Armstrong could also be on the move, while young keeper Murphy Mahoney is joining Walsall on loan.

Hamalainen,, who turns 25 in March, has started 20 league matches for the R’s and spent time on loan at Brazilian outfit Botafogo last year. He has also had loan spells at Los Angeles FC, Los Angeles Galaxy, Dagenham & Redbridge and Kilmarnock.

His season-long loan at Kilmarnock in 2019-2020 went well – he made 32 appearances and managed to impress during his time at the club.

West London Sport reports that Scottish clubs, including Killie, have been alerted to Hamalainen’s availability and shown some interest, and that Thomas will also be allowed to leave but that the forward’s situation is complicated by the fact that he is currently injured.

Meanwhile, Conor Masterson is being lined up for another loan move and the club are considering a temporary switch for striker Armstrong as well.

Armstrong has looked exciting in Rangers’ first team but is currently behind Lyndon Dykes and new signing Jamal Lowe in the pecking order.
