Another QPR exit on the cards as Warburton’s revamp continues

Niko Hamalainen could be the next QPR fringe player to be shipped out.

West London Sport have reported that Kilmarnock are interested in the Finland left-back, who was on loan at Los Angeles FC earlier this year.

Hamalainen is behind the likes of Ryan Manning and Lee Wallace in the pecking order at QPR and looks set to spend the rest of the season elsewhere in order to play first-team football.

Manager Mark Warburton has wasted no time revamping the squad, making a host of signings as well as clearing the decks.

Paul Smyth and keeper Seny Dieng are among those to have been sent out on loan, while the likes of David Wheeler have been offloaded permanently.

And Sean Goss joined the exodus last week when he joined Shrewsbury on a two-year deal.

He barely featured for the R’s but impressed on his Shrews debut on Saturday in a goalless draw with Rochdale.

“It’s brilliant to be back out there,” Goss told the club’s website.

“Straight in and had my first session with the lads yesterday, so to come straight in it’s always going to be tough. You’re learning every time and every minute that the game goes on.

“I really enjoyed it and I’ll be hoping to build on that performance because I haven’t had that much game time lately.”
