Tottenham v Hull teams: Dembele out as two return, ex-Spurs trio start for Hull

Tottenham recall Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko to their starting line-up for the visit of Hull.

Mousa Dembele is ruled out with a foot injury sustained against Manchester United, so Dier – who was an unused substitute at Old Trafford – returns to the team.

Sissoko, meanwhile, comes in for Son Heung-min, who drops to the bench. It is the Frenchman’s first Premier League start since the trip to West Brom in mid-October.

Toby Alderweireld retains his place at centre-back having come through 90 minutes against United with no adverse reaction following his return from injury.

Hull have named an unchanged squad from the one which drew 3-3 against Crystal Palace.

Michael Dawson, Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone start against their former club, with another ex-Spurs man Ryan Mason among the substitutes.

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama, Dier; Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli; Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Winks, Onomah, Nkoudou, Son.

Hull City: Marshall; Maguire, Dawson, Davies; Elmohamady, Livermore, Huddlestone, Clucas, Robertson; Snodgrass; Diomande.
Subs: Jakupovic, Weir, Meyler, Mason, Maloney, Henriksen, Bowen.
