Middlesbrough v West Ham teams: Byram back, Reid fit, Boro signing in squad

West Ham make one change for the visit to Middlesbrough, with Sam Byram replacing James Collins.

Byram has shaken off a knock, as has Winston Reid, as the Hammers return to four at the back.

Michail Antonio will play in a more orthodox right-wing role, with Manuel Lanzini and Sofiane Feghouli also operating behind Andy Carroll, who has recovered from whiplash.

Once again, unsettled playmaker Dimitri Payet is not involved, while Cheikhou Kouyate and Andre Ayew are both at the Africa Cup of Nations.

New signing Jose Fonte was not registered in time to feature at the Riverside Stadium.

Middlesbrough’s most recent addition Patrick Bamford is only among the substitutes, as the hosts make two changes.

Adam Clayton and Adama Traore come into the starting line-up at the expense of Fabio and Grant Leadbitter.

Gaston Ramirez and Antonio Barragan are injured while Daniel Ayala is banned.

Middlesbrough: Valdes; Chambers, Bernardo, Gibson, Friend; Clayton, Forshaw, De Roon, Traore; Stuani, Negredo.
