Lukaku can go if ‘certain clubs’ make offer – agent

Romelu Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola has said that Everton have promised the striker he can leave this summer if “certain clubs” come in for him.

The Belgium international, 24, has been linked with a return to Chelsea, who sold him to Everton in 2013.

Since that transfer Lukaku has scored an impressive 53 goals in 110 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside club – an average of virtually a goal per game.

Manchester United’s former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is also reportedly keen to sign Lukaku, who has been widely tipped to leave Goodison Park this summer.

The player has rejected the offer of a new contract and looks set to move on.

Raiola told Talksport on Wednesday that no talks with other clubs have taken place but that he expects there to be interest and that Lukaku is likely to want to go.

“Lukaku had a promise that if certain clubs came this summer that he could leave this summer,” Raiola said.

“We are not in concrete talks with anybody at this moment, but hearing the market I think some clubs will contact Everton

“If the price is right for Everton and the project is right for Lukaku then I think he will want to make another step, but we are not there yet.”
