Real Madrid willing to let Odegaard leave – reports

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to sell Martin Odegaard.

The midfielder has impressed on loan at Arsenal, who are keen to keep him at the Emirates Stadium.

And The Times reports that the Gunners will step up their pursuit of a permanent deal to sign Odegaard as Real are willing to do business in order to finance a big-money move for Erling Haaland.

Borussia Dortmund star Haaland continues to be linked with top clubs, including Chelsea.

The Norway striker will be one of the most sought after players during this summer’s transfer window, although Dortmund are insisting he is not for sale.

And The Sun have reported that his agent Mino Raiola is to hold talks with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City – but not Manchester United.

It comes after Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo suggested that Raiola would travel to England to discuss a possible move for Haaland after a trip to Spain.

Raiola is reported to have held talks with Real Madrid and Barcelona about a potential deal for Haaland, who continues to be tipped to leave Germany at the end of the season.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was reluctant to comment when asked at a press conference on Friday about reports the Blues are looking to snap up Haaland.

But he did suggest that speculation over Haaland’s future was a result of Raiola trying to drum up interest.

“I will not answer that out of respect for the player and Borussia Dortmund,” said Tuchel.

“There is big news around him and his agent. It seems like they are creating a race for the player and I will fully accept this a player for Borussia Dortmund, a promising player of course.

“He isn’t our player and is not in our squad. So, we will not comment on anything else regarding Haaland.”
