West Ham linked with QPR defender Dickie

West Ham are reportedly interested in QPR defender Rob Dickie.

The centre-back has been impressive for Rangers and several Premier League clubs were linked with him during the January transfer window.

And 90min.com say the Hammers are keeping tabs on him ahead of a possible move when the window opens again.

It comes after QPR director of football Les Ferdinand declared that the west London club would try to resist any offers for their star players.

As well as Dickie, the likes of Ilias Chair, keeper Seny Dieng – who has also been linked with West Ham – and Chris Willock have caught the eye for the R’s.

Speaking to West London Sport, Ferdinand said there were no firm offers in January but believes that might change at the end of the season.

“The reason that wasn’t there is because I turned my phone off every now and again,” Ferdinand joked.

He added: “I was ignoring those sort of calls because we didn’t want to lose any of our players.”

“We’ve got some good, young and exciting players who I’m worried come the end of the season people will be knocking on the door and wanting to take them.

“We’ll try to resist as much as we can.”
