Late Browne goal gives West Ham youngsters cup win

Marcus Browne scored twice – including a late winner – as West Ham’s development side won 2-1 at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League Cup.

The young Hammers had to come from behind in the game at Alfreton after Ben Bremerton headed Forest in front 10 minutes before half-time.

Browne’s deflected strike hauled West Ham level two minutes before the interval and keeper Raphael Spiegel produced two fine saves early in the second half to deny Forest.

And with four minutes remaining, Browne pounced on the loose ball to score after Domingos Quina’s shot had been saved.
