Selling Dasilva ‘not an option’ for Brentford, says Frank

Selling Josh Dasilva is “not an option” for Brentford in January, Thomas Frank has insisted.

The England Under-21 international has been linked with a potential move to West Ham.

The Guardian have reported that the Hammers, who signed Said Benrahma from Brentford in the summer, are now monitoring Dasilva ahead of a possible move.

The newspaper added that Brentford will not sell on the cheap, having stuck to their guns over their valuation of Benrahma before eventually doing business.

However, Bees boss Frank says there is no chance of Dasilva – or any of the west London club’s star players – being sold in January for any price.

Frank told West London Sport: “I’m not worried. I understand why Premier League clubs will approach, because we have some very good players.

“No players will leave us in January. That’s not an option. They enjoy playing for Brentford and we are enjoying the journey.

“None of the players want to leave us and we definitely don’t want to let them go.”

That makes a move for the likes of Dasilva and Rico Henry unlikely.

Left-back Henry has also been linked with Premier League clubs, having been outstanding for Frank’s side, but Brentford are determined not to sell.
