Watford boss Javier Gracia feels improving the little things can make the biggest difference for his team as they bid to rediscover their form.

The Hornets had opened the new campaign with five straight victories, four in the Premier League, but have not won since.

Gracia’s side went down 2-0 at Arsenal last weekend, which followed on from a Carabao Cup penalty shoot-out defeat by Tottenham.

The Spaniard, though, has seen enough to believe positive results are not far away as he prepares the squad to tackle Bournemouth at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

“Our feeling and the stats show that we are doing good work, not only looking about the results,” Gracia said.

“We have put in good performances whether we are winning, losing or drawing in different games.

“We have a good feeling, good performances and we need to not only keep this level, but improve little details. Taking care of these little details (will) mean we are able to get better results.”

Gracia added at a press conference: “If you speak only about the results, the last month was not good, but for me that is not the most important thing (the performance is).

“We competed really well against (Manchester) United and Arsenal, with chances to get a better result.

“In all of the games, we have had the same or more shots than the other teams.

“You can feel with this statistics we are close to being able to win all the games we are playing. I think we are (going) in the right way.”

Winger Gerard Deulofeu looks set to feature for the first time this season following his fitness problems.

Forward Stefano Okaka, Miguel Britos and Sebastian Prodl should also all be in contention to boost Gracia’s options.
