Paper round-up: West Ham linked with Leeds striker

West Ham are among Premier League clubs interested in Leeds United striker Chris Wood, The Sun say.

Southampton, Stoke and Swansea are also said to be keen on the New Zealand international, who scored 27 goals for Leeds this season.

The Sun claim he could be sold for £20m and that it would “a major surprise” if Wood is not playing in the top flight next season.

He is one of a host of strikers West Ham have been linked with ahead of the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Arsenal want Stoke City’s England goalkeeper Jack Butland, the Daily Mirror say.

The 24-year-old, who recently returned after injury, is among the many keepers Chelsea have been linked with in recent months.

The Mirror say the Blues, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all showing an interest in Butland ahead of the summer transfer window.

Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose all want to leave Tottenham, according to The Sun.

All three players have been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United in recent weeks.

The Sun claim sources at Spurs believe Dier’s head has been turned by reports of interest from United, while Walker is said to have been told he can leave.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to sign Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso, the Mirror say.

The French midfielder, 22, has been tipped to move this summer and Wenger is said to be an admirer, although Lyon are reported to be looking for more than £30m for him.

The Gunners are also said to be showing an interest in Malaga’s Spain international midfielder Pablo Fornals.

Chelsea will offer Thibaut Courtois a new contract worth more than £150,000 a week in order to fight off interest in the keeper from Real Madrid, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Bournemouth plan to offer Chelsea £30m for Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake, according to The Guardian.

The Sun reckon Chelsea have offered £35m for Paris St-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

The Daily Telegraph say Newcastle are set to make an approach for Fulham playmaker Tom Cairney.

The Daily Mail report that Fulham are confident Ryan Sessegnon will sign a professional contract at Craven Cottage despite months of speculation over the teenager’s future.

The Daily Mirror claim Sessegnon is among Liverpool’s top targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

And West London Sport report that Peterborough want to sign QPR midfielder Michael Doughty.
