Paper round-up: Spurs linked with Balde

Tottenham are among a number of clubs chasing Lazio forward Keita Balde, the Daily Mirror reports.

Liverpool and Everton are also said to be keen on the 22-year-old, who is apparently rated at £30m.

Senegal international Balde is reported to have rejected a new contract at Lazio, which has sparked speculation about his future.

He is said to be holding out for a move to Juventus, who have also been linked with him in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Tottenham and Arsenal reportedly want to sign former Chelsea man Juan Cuadrado.

The Sun say Arsenal have had a £17.6m bid for Cuadrado rejected by Juventus and that Spurs are also keen on the Colombian.

Juve apparently want £30m for Cuadrado, who failed to make an impact during his time at Chelsea.

The Daily Star say West Ham are ready to abandon their interest in Chris Smalling.

The Hammers are among a number of clubs linked with the England defender amid reports he is set to leave Manchester United.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ contract negotiations with Chelsea have stalled, according to The Times.

And there are various reports that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could quit Stamford Bridge because of disagreements over the club’s transfer policy.
