Paper round-up: Spurs again linked with Maddison

Tottenham are again among clubs being linked with highly-rated Norwich City youngster James Maddison.

The Sun say Norwich want £25m for the 21-year-old and that he is being eyed by Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton.

The newspaper say Maddison is “certain to leave” Carrow Road this summer and that Spurs showed an interest during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star claim Arsenal are angry with England over Jack Wilshere’s injury.

The Star claim the Gunners believe Wilshere, who has picked up a knee problem, was pushed too hard in training.

However, England boss Gareth Southgate has said that he expects Wilshere to be available for Arsenal’s game against Stoke City on Sunday.

“I’ve no reason to believe that he wouldn’t be back for their next game,” Southgate said at a press conference on Monday afternoon.

“It’s an ongoing issue that he has to manage. It wasn’t going to be ready for him tomorrow for us, but I’m pretty certain that he will be back for Arsenal’s next game.”

And the Daily Express has picked up on reports in Spain claiming that former Watford boss Marco Silva is in the running to take over as West Ham manager this summer.
