The Daily Mirror claim West Ham may need to sell some of their younger players in order to give new manager David Moyes money to spend in January.

Reece Oxford, Declan Rice (pictured), Domingos Quina and Josh Cullen are mentioned as players who could be sold by the Hammers.

The Mirror say Arsenal are among several clubs keeping tabs on the highly-rated Rice.

The Mirror also say Slaven Bilic contacted West Ham players following his sacking as manager to ask for their view on what had gone wrong.

Bilic was reportedly told by them that he had not been tough enough on his squad, apparently allowing poor timekeeping to go unpunished.

Meanwhile, The Sun say Mesut Ozil wants Jack Wilshere’s number 10 shirt at Arsenal.

There continues to be speculation over the future of Ozil, whose contract at the Emirates Stadium expires at the end of the season.

The Sun claim his demands include a pay rise and a switch from number 11 to 10 because it is linked to his brand — his Instagram handle is m10_official and he previously wore the number 10 shirt at Real Madrid.

The Daily Mirror say Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich plans to take on more day-to-day involvement in the club following the resignation of technical director Michael Emenalo.

The Guardian  suggest director Marina Granovskaia’s influence will increase – and say Emenalo’s successor is likely to answer to her rather than Abramovich.
