Paper round-up: Dembele reportedly in line for new deal

Tottenham are set to open contract talks with Mousa Dembele and want Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Amadou Haidara, according to The Sun on Sunday.

Dembele’s contract is due to expire at the end of next season and Spurs are said to be keen to tie him to a new deal.

The newspaper also say Spurs are keen on Mali international Haidara, who has impressed with his performances in Austria and in the Europa League.

Also according to The Sun on Sunday, Tottenham want Swansea City central defender Alfie Mawson, who has also been linked with West Ham in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Express have picked up reports linking Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski with a move to Arsenal.

The Daily Star Sunday claim Luis Enrique is stalling over a deal to become Chelsea boss in case the Arsenal job becomes an option for him.

And the Sunday Mirror claim Fulham will sell Tom Cairney for £20m if they fail to win promotion to the Premier League this season.

West Ham are reported to be interested in the Scotland international along with Newcastle and Watford.

Fulham would also struggle to hold onto Ryan Sessegnon and Ryan Fredericks if they don’t go up, the Sunday Mirror say.
