Benatia, Martins and N’Zonzi linked with Arsenal

Medhi Benatia, Gelson Martins and Steven N’Zonzi are among the players being linked with Arsenal as new boss Unai Emery is tipped to revamp the squad this summer.

The Sun have picked up on reports in Italy that Juventus defender Benatia (pictured) could be heading to north London after the centre-back struggled to hold down a first-team place at the Turin club last season.

Borussia Dortmund and Benatia’s former club Marseille have also been linked with the 31-year-old, who has been tipped to leave Juve this summer.

Meanwhile, Portuguese publication O Jogo has claimed that Arsenal are keen on Sporting Lisbon forward Gelson Martins.

Martins has been linked with various Premier League clubs in the last year or so, including Tottenham and Chelsea. He reportedly has a £53m release clause in his Sporting contract.

And Sevilla’s former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder N’Zonzi is again being linked with a potential move to Arsenal.

The Mirror claim Emery wants to make N’Zonzi his first signing for the Gunners.

He has apparently had to convince the club’s hierarchy to pursue the deal and they were reportedly reluctant to do so previously.
