Paper round-up: West Ham reportedly table bid for Norwich star

West Ham have made a bid for highly-rated Norwich midfielder James Maddison, according to The Guardian.

It is claimed that the Hammers have offered £12m for Maddison after manager David Moyes watched him in action against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Tottenham are among the other clubs to have recently been linked with Maddison, who has also been touted for a move to Liverpool.

Meanwhile, The Sun say West Ham are considering a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge and that Diafra Sakho has told the club he wants to leave the London Stadium.

The Daily Star say Borussia Dortmund have told Arsenal they will need to break their transfer record in order to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Star say Dortmund have rejected an offer of just over £50m and are holding out for closer to £60m.

It comes after German publication Kicker reported that talks between the two clubs have stalled.

Chelsea are interested in Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud. according to the Daily Express. 

The Sun have picked up on speculation linking Tottenham’s Erik Lamela with Inter Milan.

The story is based on Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio claiming that Lamela is a target for the Serie A club.

Inter’s director of football Walter Sabatini previously signed the player for Roma.

The Daily Telegraph say Spurs have shown Lucas Moura around their training ground as they consider making a bid for the Paris St-Germain man.

The Sun say Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s recent comments about the club’s transfer policy have angered Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

The Daily Star run a similar story, claiming that Abramovich is lining up potential replacements for the Italian.

And Brighton are set to agree an £8m deal to sign Charlton youngster Ezri Konsa, according to The Sun.
