Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson wants to sign Basle forward Mohamed Elyounoussi and Gillingham goalkeeper Tomas Holy, according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail say Palace face competition from Newcastle for Elyounoussi but are moving to steal a march on their relegation rivals.

Hodgson has been tipped to sign a keeper in January and Holy, who stands at 6ft 9in, is the latest to be linked with the Eagles.

Hodgson is said to be keen to replace veteran Julian Speroni and Wayne Hennessey.

Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is likely to send Georges-Kévin Nkoudou out on loan in order to make room in his Champions League squad for Erik Lamela, according to The Guardian.

The Guardian also believe Manchester United are preparing an opening offer of £25m for Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon.

The youngster, who has also been linked with Tottenham, has reportedly been lined up to replace Luke Shaw at Old Trafford.

West Ham have had an opening bid of £8m for Harry Arter rejected by Bournemouth but are set to return with another offer, the Daily Express say.

And The Times say Alexis Sanchez agreed to sign a new contract at Arsenal a year ago but changed his mind after the Gunners lost 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
