Everton reportedly ready to move for Ramsey

There continues to be much speculation over the future of Aaron Ramsey.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Arsenal midfielder, as have the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.

Liverpool are said to have lined up him as a potential replacement for James Milner at Anfield, while United have been linked with him during the last two transfer windows.

The Sun say Everton have now joined those clubs in the race to sign him and that the Goodison Park club are ready to offer him a £15m signing-on fee next summer.

Ramsey’s Arsenal contract is due to expire then and talks over a new deal have been scrapped.

It means he will leave the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer at the end of the season unless he does sign a new deal or is sold by the Gunners in January.

The Sun say Everton director of football Marcel Brands is “putting a package together to tempt Ramsey to Merseyside” and that Ramsey is set to be offered a five-year deal worth £150,000 a week.

The Daily Mirror, on the other hand, suggest Ramsey could be heading for AC Milan. Juventus are also said to be interested in him.
