Jenkinson’s Palace move reportedly in doubt

Carl Jenkinson’s proposed move from Arsenal to Crystal Palace is reportedly in doubt.

The Mail say Jenkinson and Palace have so far been unable to agree personal terms and the transfer could fall through.

Palace recently had an offer for full-back Jenkinson accepted but Eagles boss Sam Allardyce said the deal was “hanging in the balance” while terms were being discussed.

Allardyce is planning a £10m bid for Tottenham’s Ben Davies, according to The Sun.

Allardyce is said to have lined up the Wales international after apparently failing to land Sunderland’s Patrick van Aanholt, who was recently tipped to join Palace.

The Sun say Spurs are looking for double the amount Palace are likely to offer for Davies.

Meanwhile, Palace’s Andros Townsend could rejoin Newcastle, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is claimed that Townsend is fighting to save his Eagles career – six months after leaving St James’ Park.

The Mirror say he has failed to impress Allardyce and could be on the way out, with both Newcastle and Middlesbrough said to be interested.

Arsenal have rejected an approach from Juventus for Alexis Sanchez, again according to the Mirror.

Juve are reportedly willing to offer a player-plus-cash deal involving Miralem Pjanic.
