Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of beating several clubs, including West Ham, to the signing of highly-rated youngster Jayden Braaf from PSV Eindhoven.

The 15-year-old forward has played six times for the Netherlands at Under-15 level and been linked with a host of clubs in recent months.

His uncle and agent, Stefano van Delden, has claimed that a deal has been agreed in principle for the player to move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

He would then sign a professional contract with the Blues once he turns 16 later this year.

Van Delden is quoted by The Sun as saying: “We have reached an agreement in principle for Jayden to join Chelsea.

“But it is a verbal agreement. Nothing has yet been put in writing.”

The Sun say Manchester United and Manchester City are keen to sign Braaf and that West Ham are among other clubs to have shown an interest.

Those other clubs also include Ajax and Bayern Munich. Braaf was on the books of Ajax prior to being snapped up by PSV, who now look likely to lose him.

Born in Amsterdam, the versatile Braaf can reportedly operate on either wing or as a striker.
