Arsenal will attempt to bring in Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega in January, according to The Sun.
The Argentina international, 30, previously played under Unai Emery at Sevilla and the Arsenal boss was linked with a move for him during the summer.
The Sun say Arsenal will target him and that it will be one of the first deals Raul Sanllehi will look at in his new role as head of football, following Ivan Gazidis’ departure as chief executive.
Banega’s contract runs until the end of next season and that contract reportedly has an £18million buy-out clause.
Meanwhile, Arsenal staff expect Stan Kroenke’s son Josh to take a more active role at the club after Gazidis’ exit, the Daily Star say.
Several Tottenham players believe they should be given more days off because they are suffering from fatigue, according to The Times.
Spurs have lost three matches in a row and there has been speculation that tiredness is a major reason for their poor results.
The Times say members of the squad feel the slump is down to exhaustion and that they need more time to recuperate between games.
And The Sun say England boss Gareth Southgate is looking into the possibility of calling up Tom Cairney despite the Fulham star having played for Scotland.
The Nottingham-born Cairney’s two appearances for Scotland have been in friendlies, meaning he is currently still eligible to play for England.
