Manchester City have been linked with Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

The Mail say contract talks between Spurs and the player have stalled and that City would be willing to offer him higher wages.

Alderweireld is said to be looking for parity with Tottenham’s highest earners.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up on reports in Italy that Arsenal are interested in signing former Chelsea man Juan Cuardrado from Juventus.

The Turin club are said to be willing to sell Cuadrado before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea have had another bid for Alex Sandro rejected, the Mirror say.

Juventus have said they will not sell the Brazil full-back, who had been tipped to move to SW6.

Chelsea have tabled a new offer, for £63m, and have again been knocked back, the Mirror say.

The Sun declare that Chelsea “face taking a £20m hit” on Diego Costa.

It is claimed that Chelsea want £50m for the striker and that his former club Atletico Madrid are only willing to pay £30m to re-sign him.

It comes after Costa issued a statement reiterating that he wants to rejoin Atletico.

And West London Sport report that QPR have made an offer for Linfield forward Paul Smyth and that Fulham have agreed a loan deal for Porto left-back Rafa Soares.
