A number of Tottenham players are unhappy with boss Mauricio Pochettino’s training methods, the Daily Mail say.

The newspaper say Spurs players “have privately expressed concerns” that Pochettino’s “energy-sapping” sessions have contributed to the club’s injury problems.

Jan Vertonghen faces several weeks out with a hamstring injury, Dele Alli has been sidelined by a hamstring problem as well, while Moussa Dembele, Christian Eriksen and Serge Aurier are also currently sidelined.

Keeper Hugo Lloris has only recently returned from a thigh muscle injury and there has been speculation over the fitness of Harry Kane.

The Mail say Pochettino is refusing to back down and will not change the intensity of his training sessions.

Meanwhile, The Sun have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that Chelsea are among clubs keen on Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali.

It is claimed that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri wants to sign the 18-year-old, who has been dubbed the ‘new Andrea Pirlo’ and is apparently rated at £6m.

And Southampton are interested in Gary Cahill, the Daily Mirror say.

Cahill has that he will seek a move from Chelsea if he is still not a first-team player when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Mirror say Southampton, who play Chelsea on Sunday, want to sign him in order to shore up their defence.

Cahill has previously been linked with Manchester United and Watford as well as Championship clubs Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.
