Report: Dier among five players Pochettino wants out of Tottenham

Eric Dier will be made available to other clubs in January, according to The Times.

The newspaper say Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to offload the England international as part of a clear-out when the transfer window opens again.

Dier has been out of favour during a troubled period for Spurs, whose poor season continued with a 3-0 defeat at Brighton on Saturday.

Tottenham reached the Champions League final last season but have lost more matches than they have won since February.

Dier started his first league match of the season in the loss at Brighton and failed to impress once again.

The Times say Pochettino is looking to ship him out along with Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose.

Speculation over the futures of Eriksen and defender Toby Alderweireld has been a problem for Pochettino for some time.

Eriksen, whose contract expires next summer and who has indicated he will not sign a new deal, has been linked with several clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Rose has been tipped to move previously, with a number of clubs linked with the England left-back during the last few transfer windows. He could well go next time around, particularly given the arrival at the club of Ryan Sessegnon.
