Winks and Moura among Spurs players who could go

Harry Winks and Lucas Moura are among nine players being tipped to leave Tottenham following the club’s recent spending.

Spurs have brought in right-back Djed Spence – their sixth summer signing – and are now expected to trim the squad ahead of the new season.

Spence has signed a five-year contract after his £19m move from Championship club Middlesbrough was finally rubber-stamped.

His arrival follows Spurs’ recent signings of Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and keeper Fraser Forster, with boss Antonio Conte determined to revamp the squad this summer.

And the Evening Standard name several players who could now be shipped out.

There has been speculation about Winks’ future for some time, with the England international midfielder keen to play regular first-team football.

AC Milan are keen on Japhet Tanganga and Sampdoria want Bryan Gil, while the Standard also suggest Moura, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon could go as well.

The newspaper also reports that Matt Doherty or Emerson Royal could move on as their first-team prospects have been reduced by the arrival of Spence, who was outstanding while on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, playing a leading role in the club’s promotion to the Premier League.
