‘Very difficult’ for QPR to keep Eze, admits Ferdinand

Les Ferdinand has admitted it will be “very difficult” for QPR to keep Ebere Eze in the summer.

Tottenham and Chelsea are among the clubs to have been linked with the England Under-21 international, who has been superb in the Championship for Rangers.

And West London Sport reported ahead of last month’s transfer deadline that an approach from Crystal Palace for Eze had been rejected.

There is sure to be interest from Premier League sides at the end of the season and QPR director of football Ferdinand is realistic about his club’s chances of again fending off interest in the exciting forward.

Ferdinand told Football.London: “It’s going to be very difficult. When you have a player of his quality doing well in your team nobody wants to see him go.

“I had to fend off a few offers in the January window and, I’m sure if he continues to play in the manner he is playing and adds a few more goals to his game, I’m expecting us to get offers in during the summer.”

It seems a question of when not if Eze will leave Loftus Road – and Ferdinand has no doubt the player is good enough to cut it at the highest level.

“I think if you look at his ability, I see him playing for one of the top six sides,” Ferdinand said.
