Tottenham boss Antonio Conte spoke at a press conference on Monday afternoon ahead of his side’s game against Manchester United.
He was asked about a number of issues, including whether he is likely to sign a new contract and also the latest on Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura.
“He’s doing an MRI scan and then we’ll see how much time he needs to recover. But for sure he will not play against Manchester United.
“He will absolutely not miss the World Cup. I can confirm the player is not at risk of not playing in the World Cup.”
“He is working. We’ll see. We have to go day-by-day with him. The medical department are working a lot to try to recover him, but we don’t know about the game against United.”
“It’s a possibility (that he might play against United). We need one more training session and then to make the best decision.”
His own future
“I think my contract in this moment is not important. The most important thing is to try to prepare for the game very well and especially in the next few games in this period we have to play big matches. Now we have to be focused and have all our concentration these games.
“I have to speak with the club and I will speak to the club about the situation and we will find the best solution for everybody.”
