Victor Wanyama is expected to be available for Tottenham against West Ham on Saturday despite picking up a hamstring injury while playing for Kenya.
Midfielder Wanyama scored with a penalty in a 3-0 win over Ethiopia – a victory which sealed his country’s qualification for their first Africa Cup of Nations in 15 years.
But he was substituted in the second half, leading to fears that Spurs lengthy injury list had grown further.
However, Kenya head coach has said the problem is “not serious” and that Wanyama is fit to play.
He will be assessed by Tottenham’s medical staff and is expected to be available for this weekend’s derby.
Spurs have serious injury worries at the moment, with Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele having been sidelined along with defenders Jan Vertonghen and Serge Aurier, while Danny Rose last week had to withdraw from the England squad.
Meanwhile, another Tottenham midfielder, Harry Winks, will return to Spurs on a high after impressing for England against Spain.
Winks is back in contention for club and country following a long battle with ankle problems.
