Gareth Bale says he is savouring being back at Tottenham.
The Welshman has been building up his fitness following his return to Spurs on loan from Real Madrid.
He endured an unhappy few months in Spain but is happy to be back in north London.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Wales’ Nations League game against Finland, Bale said: “It’s nice to be back playing and be at a place where I’m wanted and feel loved.
“I’m just getting my fitness back now and being back playing is what makes every footballer happy.
“I feel like I’m in a good place at the moment. It’s been six weeks since I’ve come back. It’s exciting to get back.”
Bale also admitted concern at the news that his Tottenham team-mate Matt Doherty had tested positive for COVID-19.
He said: “It’s a slight concern for everybody when you’ve been playing, I suppose, in close contact on the field – maybe not long enough to catch it – you’re obviously a bit wary.
“It’s good news that everyone’s (test results) have come back and has tested negative and now we can just concentrate on the game on Wednesday.”
