QPR star wants his future resolved

QPR defender Jake Bidwell is “unsettled” by apparent uncertainty over his long-term future, Football.London say.

Bidwell’s contract at Loftus Road is due to expire at the end of the season and Football.London say he has admitted that “the uncertainty regarding his future left him feeling unsettled.”

Bidwell, signed from neighbours Brentford in the summer of 2016, has been in excellent form for Rangers under Steve McClaren this season.

But there has so far been no sign of the club offering a new deal to the former Everton left-back.

He told Football.London: “I haven’t heard anything from the club at the moment but I’m sure they’ve got a plan one way or another.

“I’m enjoying the football at the moment and enjoying how we’re playing and obviously that goes hand in hand with getting good results.

“It’s always in the back of your mind when you get to this sort of stage in your contract. But I’m enjoying it at the minute, we’re picking up some good results and I’m playing my part in that so I’m just trying to concentrate on that.

“There’s always that in the back of your mind where you think about what might happen next season but you’ve just got to concentrate on your football.”
