QPR defender set for move but Willock staying

Leon Balogun is among players set to leave QPR when their contracts expire next month.

West London Sport reports that the veteran central defender is on the way out of Loftus Road and that Luke Amos is also expected to leave.

Striker Chris Martin has reached the end of his short-term deal, while Conor Masterson, Olamide Shodipo and goalkeeper Jordan Archer are also out of contract this summer.

Chris Willock’s contract expires but West London Sport say QPR hold an option to extend it by another year and intend to do so, and that there is also an extension clause in the contract of striker Charlie Kelman.

West London Sport also Stefan Johansen could be shipped out even though he signed a three-year contract in 2021, as he is not in boss Gareth Ainsworth’s plans.

Ainsworth is planning a summer of major changes at the west London club after a troubled season in which he was their third manager and they almost went down from the Championship.

Rangers would have finished below relegated Reading but for the Berkshire club being deducted six points.

The squad included five loan players: Tyler Roberts, Taylor Richards, Ethan Laird, Tim Iroegbunam and Jamal Lowe.
