Could McGeouch be McClaren’s first signing for QPR?

QPR and neighbours Fulham and Brentford are keen on Hibernian’s former Celtic midfielder Dylan McGeouch.

West London Sport report that Blackburn and Aberdeen have been battling to sign the 25-year-old and that the three west London clubs are also showing an interest.

The R’s, who sacked Ian Holloway as manager last week and are set to install former England boss Steve McClaren, are looking to revamp their squad this summer.

Hibs signed McGeouch from Celtic in 2015 after he had spent a season on loan with the Edinburgh club.

He has played in England, having made eight appearances – all as a substitute – while on loan at Coventry City from Celtic in 2014.

Meanwhile, QPR co-owner Tony Fernandes has been responding on Twitter to fans unhappy with the decision to part with Holloway.

The Bristolian had a year remaining on his contract and was in his second spell as Rangers manager.
