Fenerbahce enter race to sign Osayi-Samuel

Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in QPR star Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Turkish television channel Haber Global have reported that Fener have identified Osayi-Samuel as a transfer target.

The list of clubs linked with the winger continues to grow.

Leeds recently joined the likes of West Bromwich Albion in the race to sign Osayi-Samuel.

Football Insider say Leeds have been monitoring him ahead of a possible move.

West London Sport recently reported that QPR had rejected an offer for Osayi-Samuel from Club Brugge.

The Belgian side apparently offered just over £3m for the winger, who has been outstanding this season.

Recent reports have suggested that Albion boss Slaven Bilic is keen to take Osayi-Samuel to The Hawthorns.

His contract at Loftus Road was due to expire this summer but QPR have activated a clause to extend the deal by a further 12 months.

The club are keen for Osayi-Samuel to sign a long-term contract but it remains to be seen whether he is willing to commit his future to the R’s.

QPR will hold out for as much money as possible if clubs make a move for Osayi-Samuel when the transfer window re-opens.

First-team coach Neil Banfield recently told West London Sport that it is inevitable the likes of Osayi-Samuel, Ebere Eze and Ilias Chair will move on if big offers come in.

“We’d love to get promoted and play with Ebs, Ilias and Brighty, but I think you’ve got to be realistic,” Banfield said.

“The real world is that if a club comes in now with loads of money then those lads have got to go. It’s just a fact of life.

“If the offers come in of £20m and £20m-plus, I don’t think there would be many clubs that could turn that down.”

QPR appear to be stepping up their pursuit of wingers as doubts remain over Osayi-Samuel’s future.

West London Sport reports that the R’s are interested in French winger Axel Urie.

The 21-year-old is approaching the end of his contract at Ligue 2 club Guingamp and could be on his way to West London.

Meanwhile. the Daily Mail has reported that QPR are keen on former Huddersfield and Wolves winger Rajiv Van La Parra.

La Parra would arrive on a free transfer after the end of his Red Star contract.

He would certainly bring quality and experience, but it seems Rangers would have competition for his signature – the Mail say Norwich and Swansea are interested in him.
