Tottenham v CSKA Moscow teams: Alderweireld fit, Pochettino makes just one change

Toby Alderweireld is back in the Tottenham squad for the first time in almost two months but does not make the starting line-up for the final Champions League game of the season.

The centre-back, who has not played since 15 October due to a knee injury, is among the substitutes for the game at Wembley against CSKA Moscow.

Harry Winks makes only his second European start in the sole change to the Spurs team that beat Swansea 5-1 on Saturday.

The 20-year-old replaces Moussa Dembele in midfield, as boss Mauricio Pochettino opts not to rotate or experiment despite being unable to qualify for the knockout stages.

Spurs are without striker Vincent Janssen (ankle) and winger Erik Lamela, who has missed the past seven matches with a hip injury and has now flown home to Argentina for personal reasons.

Christian Eriksen will hope to find the net for the third game in a row, while Harry Kane has eight goals in his last eight appearances for Spurs, four of them from the penalty spot.

Leonid Slutskiy, who announced this week that this would be his last game in charge of CSKA, has named only five substitutes.

CSKA goalkeeperĀ Igor Akinfeev has not kept a clean sheet in 42 Champions League games – his last shut-out in the competition was in a 0-0 draw at Arsenal in November 2006.
