Stewart looks likely to leave Liverpool

Kevin Stewart looks set to leave Liverpool this summer.

The 23-year-old from Enfield has made nine appearances for the Merseyside club this season, with only three of them coming in the Premier League.

He has struggled to establish himself as a first-team player since being signed from Tottenham nearly three years ago and has started only three league games for Liverpool.

Stewart has spent time away from Anfield on loan, at Cheltenham, Burton and Swindon.

His future now appears to lie elsewhere, with the player considering his options as he prepares to move on.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports News HQ are reporting that several clubs, both in the top flight and the Championship, are interested in Stewart, either on loan or a potential permanent deal.

These apparently include Stoke City, Burnley and newly promoted Brighton as well as Derby, Norwich and Aston Villa.

Stewart joined Tottenham’s academy in 2010 but did not make a first-team appearance during his time at the club.

He made his senior debut while on loan at Crewe in 2013 and joined Liverpool the following year.

His first two appearances for Liverpool came in an FA Cup third-round match at Exeter in January last year and the replay against them at Anfield.
