Kante reportedly wants to leave Chelsea

N’Golo Kante wants to leave Chelsea after falling out with Frank Lampard, according to a report.

It is claimed that Blues boss Lampard refused to give Kante permission to attend a friend’s wedding during the international break and that this has angered the Frenchman.

The story is from French news outlet Le Parisien and has been picked up by the Daily Mail.

It is claimed that Kante could leave Stamford Bridge when the transfer window reopens in January and that the midfielder would like a move to Real Madrid.

Kante has been linked with a number of clubs in the last year or so, amid much speculation over his future.

Those clubs include Real, while the likes of Paris St-Germain and Juventus have also been linked with the midfielder.

Lampard has always insisted he regards Kante as a key player and wants to keep him at the Bridge.

Speaking last month, Lampard hit back at reports suggesting Chelsea were prepared to sell Kante in order to finance new signings.

Lampard told BBC’s Friday Football Social: “I see those reports as well. I think pretty much every club in the world would want N’Golo Kante.

“He is an incredible player – an incredible player, and person. I certainly don’t want to lose him. He is fundamental to what I am trying to do.

“We can talk about the attacking players we have but we also have N’Golo and the work he does in midfield.

“It was a difficult year for him last year because of the injuries. He came into the season with an injury and and it was domino effect through the year which is something he hasn’t had before and was probably he culmination of of five years playing game after game after game.

“I am really excited to have him fit; he looks fresh and really fit. He is a big deal for me and so, course, I want to keep N’Golo.”
