Agent of Chelsea target Ahmedhodžić says Malmo will consider offers

The agent of reported Chelsea target Anel Ahmedhodžić has said Malmo will consider offers for him this winter.

Ahmedhodžić has caught the eye of clubs across Europe after a string of impressive performances for the Swedish side, and his agent Markus Rosenberg believes the 21-year-old is edging closer to a departure, perhaps as soon as the January transfer window.

Reports from Italy in the autumn claimed Chelsea were among the sides monitoring the player, along with AC Milan, only for Ahmedhodžić’s father Mirsad to claim Rosenberg would not sanction a move to Stamford Bridge.

But SportSport.ba in Bosnia are reporting the defender is ‘already wanted’ by Frank Lampard’s side, Milan, PSV Eindhoven and Ajax and quote Rosenberg on potential talks.

“The interest is enormous. Almost daily it is written about Anel and it is no secret that there are always new clubs calling him,” Rosenborg said.

“It doesn’t necessarily have to be clubs, but agents or people who deal with transfers or are intermediaries of some teams.

“Anel has it all. Of course, he can still learn a lot, but if you look at the important qualities – he is young, tall, built, has technique and a good overview. He’s got it all.

“Anel has to go to a club where he can flourish completely, somewhere he won’t end up on the bench.

“All the clubs have been following Anel for some time and so they know why they want to bring him in.

“During the winter break, we will listen to the various offers we get.”
