Ryan Bertrand has been replaced in the England squad by Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs.
Southampton left-back Bertrand has returned to his club after suffering an injury during England’s 2-0 win against Malta.
The South Londoner, formerly of Chelsea, went off after 19 minutes of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier at Wembley and was replaced by Tottenham’s Danny Rose.
Gibbs, who has 10 caps to his name, has therefore been drafted into the squad for Tuesday’s qualifier against Slovenia in Ljubljana.
