Crystal Palace v Newcastle: Eagles forward out, Magpies star passed fit

Christian Benteke will be Crystal Palace’s only significant absentee when they host Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.

The striker remains sidelined with a knee injury so Jordan Ayew is expected to continue to deputise.

Scott Dann and Connor Wickham continue their recoveries from long-term knee injuries.

Team from: Hennessey, Guaita, Speroni, Wan-Bissaka, Ward, Tomkins, Sakho, Kelly, Van Aanholt, Souare, Townsend, Kouyate, McArthur, Meyer, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Riedewald, Schlupp, Ayew, Kaikai, Sorloth, Zaha.

Newcastle skipper Jamaal Lascelles is fit to take his place in the Magpies’ squad.

Defender Lascelles did not reappear for the second half of last weekend’s 2-1 home defeat to Arsenal after aggravating an ankle problem in the warm-up, but he is back in training and available for the visit to Selhurst Park.

Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey was not risked against the Gunners after returning to the bench following a lay-off with a thigh injury, but has trained all week and only defender Florian Lejeune (knee ligaments) is missing.

Team from: Dubravka, Darlow, Yedlin, Dummett, Manquillo, Sterry, Lascelles, Clark, Fernandez, Schar, Shelvey, Hayden, Diame, Ki, Ritchie, Kenedy, Murphy, Atsu, Longstaff, Perez, Rondon, Muto, Joselu.
