Marcos Alonso has dismissed reports linking him a return to Real Madrid in the summer, insisting he plans to stay at Chelsea.
The Blues wing-back, who made his debut for Spain in their 6-1 win over Argentina, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2016 and has established himself as one of their key players.
Reports have linked the 27-year-old with a return to the Spanish capital, but Alonso insists he is staying at Stamford Bridge.
“I have not considered that possibility (returning to Madrid), I just try to give the best of me and my team,” Alonso told Spanish newspaper Marca.
“I made my (Madrid) debut with Manuel Pellegrini in 2009/10, and that summer I had the opportunity to go to the Premier League.
“I don’t know what would’ve happened if I stayed, I live in the present.”
