England strolled to a 4-0 victory against Bulgaria in a one-sided game at Wembley on Saturday. There was a debut for Mason Mount, who came on as a substitute and played in midfield alongside his Chelsea team-mate Ross Barkley.
Many fans on Twitter were critical of Barkley’s performance, with some suggesting that Mount or Leicester City’s James Maddison should have started the game instead.
Really rate mount looks a real talent thought winks would start as he’s played well so far this season think our midfield is our weakness tho if I’m honest. Barkley is frustrating because he has the talent but only ever shows glimpses shouldn’t be starting for England.
