Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his Manchester United side have been in good form ahead of the game against Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard spoke at a press conference on Friday ahead of this weekend’s game against Manchester United. Here are three key things we learned.
Kepa Arrizabalaga will not be in the Chelsea squad
“We’ve got a pretty clean bill of health other than Kepa, who has a shoulder issue so won’t travel to Manchester.
“The only other player out is Billy Gilmour, which is obviously long-term, but he’ll be back soon.”
Petr Cech won’t be replacing Kepa in the squad!
“Petr Cech’s not coming – not in that (playing) capacity.”
Lampard has found it tricky to integrate Hakim Ziyech after his injury
“It has been very difficult because we have a bubble here at Cobham.
“We cannot play against the Under-23s or bring over the kids to replicate 11 v 11 games on big-sized pitches, which is generally where you’d want someone to be working when they’ve not played for five or six months.
“We just have to do the best we can, train as well as we can, find the right way to give Hakim minutes – and others in the squad, because a few of our new signings did come in with certain issues – and try and get that as quickly as we can. That has been challenging.”
